Playa de Castilnovo, Conil de la Frontera

Castilnovo beach to the south of Conil de la Frontera is still completely unspoilt

Beautiful wide sandy beach
Playa de Castilnovo is a beautiful wide sandy beach located to the south of Conil de la Frontera. Castilnovo beach is an extension of Conil's main beach, Playa de los Bateles. The two beaches are separated by the river mouth of the Rio Salado, which you can easily cross at low tide (there is also a bridge). Around high tide the river mouth becomes a 300 metre wide lagoon with shallow flat water that’s ideal for kitesurfing, especially for beginners.

Still completely unspoilt
Castilnovo beach is almost 3 kilometres long, over 170 metres wide and still completely unspoilt. The only construction here is the 13th century Torre de Castilnovo which the beach was named after. Because of its somewhat remote location and lack of facilities, Playa de Castilnovo never gets overcrowded. Even in July and August you will find plenty of space here.
